i’m walking through the woods on a sunny day
looking for some friends I’d hope to play
bouncing a tune off the top of my head
then battin’ it as it came down
came upon a pond in the middle of my path
thought what a great place to have a splash
i rolled up my jeans to my knees
something started tickling me

i looked down and saw a waterbug
givin’ my funny bone a great big tug
i put him in my pocket safe and snug
the waterbug was tickling me

i’ll tell you what to do
