golden rings removed and buried deeply
white linens pressed and folded neatly
common law divides them up completely
as their tongues hang down
the gavel sounds
in the tower of confusion
in the tower of confusion
the innocent look on
brothers and sisters
wondering what they’ve done
seeking shelter from the babble
and the tale that has been spun
they don’t know that their futures liein the beating of the drum
and the gavel sound
drums are pounding loud in the far off distance
smoke signals the coming of a pained resistance
the wise men lay out plans for this strange existence
as the smoke blows roundthe drum beats down
innocence removed and buried deeply
